CalHPA was founded in 2026 by a coalition of California physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals who recognized the need for a unified voice.
What began as a focused California advocacy group has grown into an internationally oriented organization that shapes healthcare policy, sets accreditation standards, and delivers continuing education.

Dr. Reyes brings 25 years of clinical and executive leadership experience. A board-certified internist, she previously served as CMO at UC Davis Health before joining CalHPA.

James oversees CalHPA's day-to-day operations, membership services, and regional chapter network. He holds a Master's in Health Administration from USC.

Dr. Nair leads CalHPA's continuing education and accreditation divisions. She is a nationally recognized expert in healthcare workforce development.

Robert directs CalHPA's legislative strategy and government relations. He has over 20 years of experience in California healthcare law and policy.

Dr. Kim is a Doctor of Nursing Practice and serves as Chief Nursing Officer at Cedars-Sinai.

David manages CalHPA's financial operations and strategic investments. He brings 18 years of nonprofit financial leadership.
